The Project & Scope of Work
The Kyoorius Marketing and Creative Awards (KMA & KCA) are among India's most prestigious awards, recognizing creative excellence across the Indian advertising, marketing, and communications industries
since 2014.
On this project, I was brought on by FishDoIt to work on graphic and motion design, while also contributing to the overall experiential feel
of the event.
Guidebooks: Initial Explorations
My first task was to work on the guidebooks released for registration.
Since the visual identity for both KMA and KCA had already been established, my role was to extend that identity thoughtfully across two separate guidebooks — one for each award. This meant working within the existing brand guidelines while organizing a large amount of information into a format that felt clear and easy to navigate.

The biggest challenge was striking a balance between staying visually consistent with the established identity and making
the books simple, intuitive, and user-friendly for entrants who would be relying on them throughout the registration process.

Physical / Digital Collaterals
I also worked extensively on the on-ground collaterals for the event, handling a wide range of touchpoints from start to finish. This included signages for the judges' area, digital screens displaying "jury in process" updates during deliberations, and graphics used throughout the main event day.
Each element had to stay true to the established brand identity while being functional and clear for the people interacting with it in real time; whether that was a judge navigating the venue or an attendee following the day's proceedings on screen.
Here's a glimpse of some of that work, showcasing the range of collaterals I contributed to:

Motion Design for Digital Touchpoints
I also worked extensively on motion design for the event. Working alongside senior motion designers, I learned the basics of nulls, 3D objects, and much more — for someone completely new to motion design, it felt like a masterclass in animation fundamentals.
I was glad to learn something new every day, all while creating posts for their social media and working on storyboards and rough animations that helped bridge the gap between graphic designers and motion designers, making it easier for them to communicate their ideas.
Here are some of them:

Automating creation of Event Graphics using Figma Buzz
A truly pivotal part of any award ceremony is that charged moment - categories unfolding, nominees revealed, and a room collectively holding its breath before the winner is announced. The graphics powering this sequence had to be flawless, timed perfectly to match that anticipation.
With over 600 names arriving from the judges as a single list, and just two days to get them onto screens, we automated the process using Figma Buzz. I built Excel templates for judges to fill in their selections, then used the resulting CSVs to feed directly into Figma.
Every template was designed and ready before the final list arrived - I used Claude and a bit of coding to organize the names precisely as needed, and refined the layouts so no word ever spilled out of place..
The video here offers just a small glimpse into that final, automated process — a fraction of the work that made those on-stage moments
feel effortless!

Here are some of the screens created for each of the 14 categories.

Here is how they appeared on event day, complete with the tugging animation for category names I designed for the announcements.
